In August, members of Midwest BSFA participated in a music video for rEVOLUTION Cincy’s newest song and the team is having a viewing party on Oct. 1. rEVOLUTION Cincy is a movement to encourage citizens to think about the issues that are important to them, to communicate those issues, and then to take personal action. The motto: Be the Change You Wish to See.
The project is designed to start conversation about what residents of Greater Cincinnati and the various neighborhoods truly value – and what they wish could be improved. However, the real conversation begins when they discuss what they can actually DO about it – and then take action!
rEVOLUTION Cincy created the music video, featuring local artists like Midwest BSFA member Napoleon Maddox and percussionist Liz Wu, to inspire viewers to take direct action in their neighborhoods/city by volunteering, buying locally, educating themselves on issues of importance and “walking their talk.” The video will be accompanied by a website where visitors can “vote” on their top neighborhood issues and then learn ways in which they can directly address those concerns.
