Trumpeter Dennis Bradley Reynolds will join the big band for the Cowboy Bebop jazz tribute concert from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 at Withrow High School!
Dennis is a former lead trumpet player with the Count Basie Band directed by Frank Foster, a former member of the Lionel Hampton Orchestra and a former lead trumpeter with the Clark Terry Big Band. He has performed with such stars as Dizzy Gillespie, Steve Lawrence and Edie Gormé, Rita Moreno, Patti Austin, Roberta Flack, Rosemary Clooney and Ella Fitzgerald.
A graduate of the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, Dennis currently leads a group of Midwestern artists who make up the Jazz Heritage Orchestra, a professional 17-piece not-for-profit jazz orchestra officially in residence in the Cleveland State University’s Black Studies Program.
