The Sankofa Experience kicks off at People’s Liberty in Over-the-Rhine next month. The first half of the programming – Feb. 2-24 – explores the Harlem Renaissance while the second half – March 7-24 – explores the dawn of the age of hip hop. Cosplaying While Black

Good panels, good entertainment, seeing old acquaintances – all around great first convention. We had a great time. When I posted my photos from the event on Facebook a few days later, a friend of a friend got tagged in a picture of the two of us (I was dressed as a steampunk version of Garnet from Steven Universe), which started a thread of comments from people I don’t know.
